The Knowledge Economy Report is the annual barometer of the performance of Northern Ireland’s knowledge economy against our target of becoming one of the best in Europe.
The launch of the 2018 report included a panel with key players from business and academia who provided insightful discussion around productivity, competitiveness and the key economic challenges faced by the knowledge economy in Northern Ireland.
There is good news on the horizon, with the announcement of the Belfast Region City Deal, which secures £350m in additional investment to develop a digital and data-driven City region and economy over the next 15 years. Work is also continuing to finalise a City Growth deal in Derry~Londonderry. Both show how local government, academia and business can work collaboratively to drive the economy forward.
